Alexis Kroese is in her third season as an assistant coach for the D'Youville women's soccer program.
In her first season as an assistant coach, Kroese helped guide D'Youville to six shutouts, while the following campaign in 2019 saw the team post five more shutouts, as both years saw Kroese and head coach Jim Hesch lead the team to back-to-back AMCC Semifinal appearances.
Kroese has also spent time as a coach with the Delaware Soccer Club and Amherst Soccer Association.
Kroese came to D'Youville after a four-year playing career at Canisius College. A regular in the starting lineup for the Golden Griffins, Kroese appeared in 52 games for the Blue and Gold. During her senior season, the Amherst, N.Y., native started all five games in which she played and tallied two assists before injuries cut her season short. As a junior, Kroese started 18 of the 20 games she played and was a major reason the team recorded three shutouts. As a sophomore in 2013, Kroese played in 10 games and started seven contests, but missed a large portion of the season due to injuries. Her freshman campaign saw Kroese play in 17 games, making 12 starts in addition to tallying her first career assist
Scholastically at Williamsville North High School, Kroese tallied 32 goals and 22 assists while earning All-ECIC First Team and All-Western New York First Team honors in both her junior and senior seasons. Her senior season also saw Kroese receive a First Team All-New York State selection. As a sophomore and freshman, Kroese was an All-ECIC Second Team selection.
Kroese graduated from Canisius in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in finance.
