Sarah Marino, a former dual-sport athlete at D'Youville, enters her fifth season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Saints softball program.

In 2021, Marino helped the Saints to 16 wins, including eight East Coast Conference wins, in their first season as an NCAA Division II and ECC member as well as a semifinal appearance in the USCAA Small College World Series.

In her time as an undergraduate student at D'Youville, Marino played both women's basketball and softball, spending four years on each team. Putting together a career year for her senior basketball season, Marino played in 21 games, starting 15 and averaged career highs in PPG (5.3), RPG (3.5), and APG (1.3). Her contributions to the team over the previous three seasons totaled 83 games, 15.4 MPG, 77.8 FT%, and 2.2 RPG.

For Marino's softball career, she consistently contributed throughout her four-year career. Her best season came as a sophomore where she hit .242 with 24 hits, 13 RBI, six doubles, and five runs scored in 33 games, setting career highs in all those categories.

Marino was an AMCC Sportsmanship Team honoree in both sports and was a team captain for both teams as well.
