BUFFALO, N.Y - D'Youville University assistant women's lacrosse coach Brinn Stworzydlak has been selected to participate in the Aspire Assistant Coach Development Program, an opportunity designed to support the continued growth and development of assistant coaches in the profession.
Stworzydlak is one of thirty coaches selected across the country for the program. She will have the opportunity to collaborate with assistant coaches from programs across the country while learning from others who share similar experiences and aspirations within their respective roles.
"I am really excited to work and collaborate with multiple other coaches from programs all over the country," said Stworzydlak. "I think it's extremely valuable to learn from other coaches that are going through the same thing as you and how they go about things in their everyday work experience."
With the program bringing together assistant coaches from across the collegiate lacrosse landscape, Stworzydlak is looking forward to connecting with others who share a common goal of growing in their roles and advancing within the coaching profession.
"With it being all assistant coaches, there is a found likeness in what we all want to achieve in our specific roles, and that is very exciting," she added.
For Stworzydlak, being selected for the program represents another opportunity to continue developing both professionally and personally. She hopes the experience will allow her to bring new ideas and knowledge back to D'Youville and make an immediate impact on the Saints women's lacrosse program.
"I hope that my colleagues and my athletes see that I always want to better myself as a coach and human," Stworzydlak said. "No matter where I land in my career, I want to continue to learn and grow, and this program is a huge step in that direction."
Stworzydlak added that she is eager to apply what she learns through the program during her time at D'Youville.
"I want to make a positive impact in everything I do, and I think this program will provide that," said Stworzydlak. "I am very excited to get the opportunity to implement what I learn right away here at D'Youville University!"
