COLONIA, N.J. – D'Youville University athletics was recognized by the ECC this past week with one major weekly award winner along with eight student-athletes being named to the Honor Roll for the week of Apr. 20-26.
Summer Clark, Softball – ECC Pitcher of the Week
Clark held a 2.55 ERA recording two wins for the Saints this past weekend. The Senior threw 11 innings including two complete games. Clark struck out 12 including her 200th career strikeout in game one against Queens College on Sunday.
Isabella Mancino, Softball – ECC Honor Roll
Mancino batted .636 with seven hits across eleven at-bats this past week. In those seven hits, the Junior recorded three triples bringing in seven RBIs while also scoring seven runs herself.
Annie Jorgenson, Softball – ECC Honor Roll
Jorgenson batted .615 this past week recording eight hits across 13 at-bats. The Sophomore recorded three doubles with five runs scored and three RBIs.
Frankie Morris, Softball – ECC Honor Roll
Morris batted .600 this week a 1.067 slugging percentage. The Sophomore recorded nine hits in 15 at-bats with six RBIs, five runs scored, five doubles, and one triple. Morris also recorded the walkoff single that gave the Saints the game one mercy rule win against Queens College on Sunday.
Jakob Denall, Baseball – ECC Honor Roll
Denall had a career day on the mound in a 3-2 victory over Queens on Friday. He tossed a 7-inning complete game, recording a career-high 13 strikeouts, allowing two earned runs on five hits and only one walk. His 111 pitches continued to fool Knights hitters as he dominated in the win.
Billy Morris, Baseball – ECC Honor Roll
Morris had yet another brilliant weekend, pitching a combined 6.2 innings with 11 strikeouts in the four-game series with Queens. Morris earned a three-out save in the 2-1 victory on Sunday, his second appearance on the mound for the weekend. He also contributed with the bat, finishing 8-for-17 with a triple, an RBI, and five runs scored.
Ty Graczyk, Baseball – ECC Honor Roll
Graczyk recorded career highs in innings pitched (7) and strikeouts (7) in a 2-1 victory over Queens College on Sunday. Graczyk was dealing all afternoon, earning the win, and leading the Saints to the lone victory of the day.
Henry Gibbons, Men's Lacrosse – ECC Honor Roll
Gibbons had his breakout game for the Saints for his freshman season, causing a career-high three caused turnovers against Mercy this past weekend.
Logan Schwartz, Men's Lacrosse – ECC Honor Roll
Schwartz continued his strong defensive efforts this past week, causing three turnovers while grabbing six groundballs against Mercy this past weekend.
