BUFFALO, N.Y. – D'Youville University athletics weekly preview for the week of Feb. 9-15.
Women's Tennis vs. West Liberty University (Friday at 12:30 p.m.)
Women's tennis will look to pick up where they left off in the fall as they start the spring portion of their season. DYU went 3-1 in the fall and had a strong showing in the ITA East Regional Tournament. West Liberty brings in an 0-1 record where they fell to Washington & Jefferson College back in September. This will be the first meeting between the programs.
Women's Basketball vs. St. Thomas Aquinas College (Friday at 5:30 p.m.)
The Saints will be back in the Saints Center Gym on Friday to conclude the regular season series against St. Thomas Aquinas College. Winning two of their last three, they will look to sweep the Spartans on the season. STAC has won their last two games, most recently beating Roberts Wesleyan this past Saturday. STAC leads the all-time series at 7-3.
Men's Volleyball at American International College (Friday at 7:00 p.m.)
The Saints are coming off their first win of the season, defeating Thomas More University by a score of 3-1. DYU will face a Yellowjackets team that is still looking for their first win of the season, most recently falling to FDU. The Saints will look to continue to have success against AIC, winning all six of their previous matches.
Men's Basketball vs. St. Thomas Aquinas (Friday at 7:45 p.m.)
The Saints come into Friday's matchup, winner of two of their last three contests. For the Spartans, they have won their last six contest. Earlier in the season, the Spartans took the first game of the season series against DYU, winning by a score of 93-87. The Saints will be looking for their first win against STAC, who has won the previous nine meetings.
Men's Lacrosse at Point Park University (Saturday at 12:00 p.m.)
The Saints will look to get in the win column this weekend, traveling to first-year program Point Park University. DYU is coming off a 22-4 loss to RV Assumption University and the Pioneers will take the field for the first time against the Saints. This will be the first meeting between these programs.
Men's Volleyball at Merrimack College (Saturday at 1:00 p.m.)
Men's volleyball will remain on the road as they reunite with former Northeast Conference foe, Merrimack College. The Warrior have dropped their last five contest of the season, and will face Brigham Young University prior to the teams meeting on Saturday. Merrimack leads the all-time series at 4-1.
Women's Track & Field at ECC Indoor Conference Championships (Sunday, All Day)
The Saints will travel downstate to the 2026 ECC Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships this Sunday, hosted by the College of Staten Island. The Saints have had a solid indoor season thus far, and will look to bring home multiple honors.
Women's Bowling vs. Roberts Wesleyan University (Sunday at 9:00 a.m.)
Women's bowling will look to resume their season and start the spring portion of it this Sunday. The last time the Saints were out, they competed at the Hilbert Hammer Classic where DYU had a strong showing in the Baker Format. The Redhawks are coming off an outing at the Northeast Classic where the team went 1-2 on the day.
Women's Basketball vs. Mercy University (Sunday at 1:00 p.m.)
The Saints will close out the week of games as they welcome the Mavs into town. Mercy is coming off a win against Roberts Wesleyan this past weekend and will face Daemen University prior to the team's game. The last time these two teams meet, it was Mercy taking the 66-50 win back in December. The Mavs hold the all-time series lead at 7-3.
Men's Basketball vs. Mercy University (Sunday at 3:00 p.m.)
To close out the week of DYU sporting events, the men's basketball team will face Mercy University Sunday afternoon. The last time these two teams meet this season, the Mavs needed double overtime to come away with the 103-98 win back in December. Since that game, the Mavs have dropped 10-straight games. Prior to the teams facing off against one another, Mercy will play Daemen University of Friday. The all-time series is tied at five games each.
