Both teams displayed strong defensive performances, with D'Youville's goalkeeper making five saves and Felician's goalkeeper stopping seven shots. Despite multiple attempts on goal, neither team was able to break the deadlock, resulting in a 0-0 tie.
The first half began with D'Youville pressuring early, as
Olivia Paterniti (Allegany, N.Y. / Allegany-Limestone) fired two shots on goal within the first 15 minutes, both saved by Felician's goalkeeper Isabella Riollano. D'Youville's defense, anchored by
Alegra Black (Toronto, Ontario / Rabun Gap), remained stalwart, denying the Golden Falcons multiple times. Despite several offside calls and fouls, D'Youville maintained a strategic offensive push, highlighted by
