COLONIA, N.J. – The East Coast Conference Academic Team of Excellence Awards for the 2024-25 academic year were announced on Thursday.
 
The ECC Academic Team of Excellence Award is presented to the team with the highest cumulative grade point average in their respective sport. The D'Youville University baseball team received the accolade, with this one coming as the fourth-straight time the team has been honored.
 
"We are extremely proud of the work our student-athletes have put in the classroom to win the Academic Team of Excellence for the ECC," said head baseball coach Kyle McLain. "A lot of credit also goes to our Athletic Success Coaches, Jake Kopasz and Hannah Pagano, in how they assist our student-athletes throughout the year."
 
Additionally, only six teams out of the entire ECC had each member of their team reach a 3.25 GPA or higher and with D'Youville having two teams named to the list: women's bowling and women's tennis.
