NIAGARA, N.Y. – The D'Youville University Women's Bowling team had a strong showing at the Niagara University Classic winning six out of nine matches. Megan Kapsiak (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster Central) was named to the All-Tournament Team after placing fourth.

The Saints got off to a strong start on Saturday after finishing 3-2. D'Youville defeated William Smith, Hilbert, and Merrimack in traditional matches to begin the tournament. Kapsiak finished fourth out of all bowlers after day one landing her on the all-tournament team. Kapsiak bowled a best game of 247 against Merrimack in the Saints fourth match of the day. Hailee Zalwsky (Olean, N.Y. / Olean Senior) also had a strong showing finishing 13th overall with a best game of 216 in match one against William Smith.

The Saints came back strong in day two of the Niagara University Classic. The Saints defeated Pitt. -Bradford in their first matchup before knocking down 779 pins in a blind round. D'Youville then went on to defeat two tough teams in Niagara and Mercyhurst. The Saints closed out their day of baker matches with a loss to William Smith.

D'Youville had a successful weekend winning six of their nine matchups at the Niagara University Classic.
