WILMINGTON, DEL. – The D'Youville University Women's Bowling team finished eighth out of 13 teams this past weekend at the Wildcat DII-DIII Invite hosted by Wilmington University.

D'Youville started the weekend competition on Friday with five Baker matches. The Saints started the day with a big 753-740 win against Alvernia University before falling to Kutztown, Dominican, and Emmanuel. D'Youville finished the day on a high note, defeating Adelphi University 848 pins to 828 pins.

The Saints came back for day two ready to face four opponents in traditional matches along with a blind round. The Saints fell to Caldwell University to begin the day before knocking down 896 pins in the blind round. D'Youville took another big 866-851 win over Wilmington before dropping their final two matchups of the day. Makayla Pasierb (Dunkirk, N.Y. / Dunkirk) was the top finisher for D'Youville placing seventeenth out of 83 bowlers.

D'Youville finished the invite with three baker matches on Sunday. The Saints were victorious against Wilmington and Molloy to start the day but ended their weekend with a loss to Dominican. The Saints finished the Wildcat invite eighth out of 13 teams.
