Latrobe, Pa. – The D'Youville University Women's Bowling team finished eighth out of 11 teams in the Pat Lacey Memorial hosted by St. Vincent on Saturday.
The Saints played in five traditional matches with a new twist of competing with string pins. The Saints started out the day with a 747-725 loss to Penn State Behrend before turning it around and defeating Hilbert College 804 pins to 739 pins. D'Youville's third round was a bye where they bowled for total pin count and finished with 710 pins. To close out the day, the Saints suffered losses to both #2 Lewis University (L, 813-787) and Hilbert College (L, 802-760).
Megan Kapsiak (Lancaster, N.Y. / Lancaster Central) continued her phenomenal Senior campaign with an 11th place finish in the individual standings.
Hailee Zalwsky (Olean, N.Y. / Olean Senior) was the next finisher for the Saints, placing in 21st.
Summer Sega (Hamburg, N.Y. / Hamburg) followed right behind placing 22nd out of 77 bowlers.
