BUFFALO, N.Y. – Heading into their first postseason play as members of the East Coast Conference, the D'Youville University women's soccer team will travel to Mercy University in the first round of the ECC Championships Thursday afternoon.

Last Time Out
In their regular season finale, the Saints fell to Queens College by a score of 2-0. DYU had their fair share of shot opportunities with four being on target.
Jillian Bernas (Cheektowaga, N.Y.),
Lauren Zwolenkiewicz (Clarence Center, N.Y.),
Hanna Dino (Niagara Falls, Ontario), and
Laoise O'Haodha (Limerick, Ireland) each had a look on goal.
Kailie Regan (Holley, N.Y.) got the start in net, making four saves on six attempts.
Last Time Against Mercy
The last time these two teams faced in the regular season, the teams played to a 1-1 draw at Dobson Field in Buffalo. It was a defensive battle for the first 76 minutes of action before the Mavericks got one on the board.
Izzy Deachman (Nobleton, Ontario) got the equalizer in the 90th minute of play to ensure the draw.
Regan played a strong game in between the pipes, saving six shots on seven attempts.
About the Saints
- D'Youville will bring in an overall record of 4-8-3 and a conference record of 3-4-1.
- Offensively, O'Haodha has been the lead goal scorer with five goals while Deachman and Ella Hurrle (Jordan Station, Ontario) have each score three goals.
- Jeslyn-Brooke Vallesteros (Aiea, Hawaii) and Hannah Woodhouse (Queensbury, N.Y.) have also been instrumental in the offense, having three assists each on the year.
- Regan has been the go-to option in net, making 10 starts while collecting 46 saves on 64 attempts.
- Katie Liljenquist has also seen her fair share of time in net, making five starts while collecting 27 saves on 35 attempts.
About the Mavericks
- Mercy will bring in an overall record of 8-4-3 and a conference record of 5-1-2.
- Ancksu Dixon leads the way with five goals while three others have score four goals on the year.
- Dixon also leads the teams in assists with three while three others have two on the year.
- Kamy Anaya has gone the distance in every game in net, making 41 saves on 55 attempts.
