ERIE, Pa. – The D'Youville Women's Bowling Team closed out the 2023 Grapevine Classic in sixth place out of ten teams.

The 2023 Grapevine Classic is a ten-team tournament hosted by Penn State Behrend at Eastland Bowl. The ten teams in the tournament are D'Youville University, Penn State Behrend, Hilbert College, Daemen University, Saint Vincent College, Roberts Wesleyan University, La Roche University, Pitt. -Greensburg, Ursuline College, and William Smith College.

The second day of the tournament consisted of four baker format matches. The Saints faced off with Penn State Behrend, Ursuline College, William Smith College, and Pitt. -Greensburg. The Saints defeated both Ursuline and Pitt. – Greensburg in competition.

The D'Youville Women's Bowling team had a total pinfall of 3,221 today and 7,252 pins knocked down between the two days of competition. The Saints improved from last weekends showing at the Mercyhurst Invitational, knocking down 266 more pins this weekend.

The Saints improved their position finishing sixth place overall to the end the weekend after ending day one in seventh place. The team also finished with an average score of 161.2.

The D'Youville Women's Bowling team takes a break next weekend but is back at it on October 29^th at Niagara University.
