WORDS FROM THE COACHES
Head coach of the Saints, Abby Pearson said "this was probably our best performance of the season." She continued "It comes from bringing the energy from the get-go. I think that we caught them a little off guard with that and that's good for us. We were able to respond after that first goal which was great because we talked a lot about how to deal with adversity this year. Even after that second goal we could continue fighting to give ourselves a chance." Head coach of the Lions, Steve Price, said "Abby is building the team, she's got a lot of freshmen here, she's now getting the team healthy. They came, they fought, they made it difficult for us. We knew it was going to be like every other game, and nobody was blowing them away, so we knew they were a good team." Price finished by saying "in the second half, we had a word with them, we changed things a little bit. I thought we controlled the second half a little better than the first. So we'll take the three points and we'll wish them all the best going forward."
