Buffalo, NY- In a cold, soggy night at Riverside High School, D'Youville's Rebecca Alvira(Buffalo, NY/Mount Mercy Academy) scored the game's only goal in the 67th minute and the Spartans get past Medaille 1-0 in the First-Round of the AMCC Women's Soccer Tournament.

D'Youville goalkeeper Christina Ventresca (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Wheatfield) made six saves to record her fourth-straight shutout, sixth of the season, and extend the Spartan's scoreless streak to 434:36.

Medaille goalkeeper Denay O'Connor (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit) made five saves for Medaille (7-11)

D'Youville (11-5-1), winners of five-straight, will play top-seed Penn State Behrend in the AMCC semifinals Wednesday October 31.  Start time in Erie, PA is noon.

The win sets a new D'Youville team single-season win record, breaking the old mark of 10 set in 2010.
